Words Of Incense
Words are spiritual. Words are one of the things that we enter into God’s presence with. Words that align with the will of the Father have God’s direct attention. Our High Priest is a minister of words in His holy sanctuary, and interestingly, it is not only the words we use in specific prayer times alone. Hosea 14:2 says for us to bring words whenever we approach God. It is not enough to say, “God sees my heart, He knows what I want to say”. God sees your heart by the things that you say.
In Hebrews 3:1, Jesus is called the Apostle and High Priest of our profession or confession. Hebrews 4:14 says that because we know that we have such a faithful High Priest, we must hold fast our profession. Hebrews 10:23 says that we must not waver in our profession of faith because God is faithful that has promised.
So, our words should not only express feelings and thoughts, but our words also especially in prayer must be intentional, it must be laced with the mind of God, the Scriptures of possibilities. The surer word of prophecy is never to surround you with fear. Every God-inspired word or speech should be for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness, that you may be thoroughly furnished as a believer. 2nd Timothy 3:16.
Your words are some of the gifts and sacrifices that our High Priest offers in His Heaven’s Holy of Holies, Hebrews 8:3. Rev 5:8 says that the golden vials in the hands of the 24 awesome beasts in the Heavenly courts was full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints. It means that no right prayer ever goes extinct. God is not forgetful the way men forget good deeds. His memory is never full or jammed. He is a rewarder of those that seek Him diligently. Hebrews 11:6. He rewards our labour of love.
So, give your High Priest words of incense today. By your words, you can truly direct the course of your life. By your words, you can release Heaven’s involvement in your relationship, marriage, job, business, organization, endeavors. Let your right words ascend like incense before your Father ‘s throne.
